“Our students really don’t have opportunities like this so they are super excited when they get the chance to do something different.” Miss Hughes, Altitude school partner
Altitude Foundation works with targeted schools and colleges across the North East, from Northumberland to Middlesbrough. If you work at a North East school or college, get in touch to find out how the Foundation can work with your students.
Volunteering with Altitude Foundation is a meaningful way to support some of the most disadvantaged young people in the UK to gain life changing new experiences with the digital and tech sector, including teaching the practical and professional skills needed to succeed in the tech industry. It’s also an opportunity for you to develop new skills and enjoy new experiences. We have a range of voluntary roles to suit everyone, no matter how much time you have to give, your tech expertise or your previous experience of volunteering. Altitude Foundation will support you with an induction and relevant training. All we ask you to bring is enthusiasm to get involved!
Altitude Foundation also works with like-minded organisations in the digital & tech sectors and in the charity and voluntary sectors who share our vision of a world where talented young people are able to achieve successful careers, regardless of background. We believe that by working collaboratively, we can collectively maximise individual effort for the whole North East region. If you believe that there may be an opportunity for Altitude to work with your organisation to further shared goals, please get in touch and let us know.
Altitude is a small team, with all our current vacancies advertised on Indeed. We do provide a role for STEM industrial placement students as an Outreach Officer, which runs from August to July each year. The application window typically opens in Spring, with interviews taking place in the Easter period each year. If you are interested in learning more about a role, please contact the team at firstname.lastname@example.org
